“To keep the body in good health is a duty… otherwise, we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear.” – The Buddha
My journey into bodywork began with my own health challenges. Years of soccer and excessive sitting in school led to poor hip function, ultimately requiring hip surgery in 2016. The long recovery process resulted in further imbalance and reduced mobility due to inactivity. This experience deepened my understanding of how unaddressed posture and movement issues contribute to pain and injury—and inspired me to help others heal.
In today’s world, prolonged sitting
and screen use contribute to postural issues and chronic pain,
especially in the back and neck. To better address these challenges, I
am completing the Human Movement Specialist (HMS) certification through
the Brookbush Institute. This training allows me to assess and correct
muscle imbalances, posture, and movement dysfunctions with greater
precision.
I believe physical health and mental well-being are deeply interconnected. As Dr. Roger Sperry, a Nobel Prize-winning brain researcher, stated, “More than 90 percent of the energy output of the brain is used in relating the physical body in its gravitational field. The more mechanically distorted a person is, the less energy available for thinking, metabolism, and healing.” Proper posture and body mechanics aren’t just essential for physical function—they are fundamental to mental clarity and overall well-being.
The complexity of the human body fascinates me, particularly the unique story each individual’s body tells. This curiosity fuels my practice, shaping me into the therapist I am today. Currently, I am pursuing my degree in Osteopathic Manual Therapy, further deepening my understanding of pain management and relief.
In our fast-paced and often stressful lives, taking time for deep relaxation and rest is more important than ever. Every session is an opportunity to create a space where your body can release tension and reconnect with its natural state of balance.
Outside of bodywork, I enjoy weightlifting, meditation, and spending time with my cat, Joan.
With a compassionate and attentive approach, I tailor each session to your needs—whether you’re seeking pain relief, improved mobility, relaxation, or all of the above.
